The nucleus of MOV is highly skilled, former US and Filipino special operations personnel. The Filipinos are former members of their Special Operations Group  and counter-terrorism unit and have partnered with the US, 1st, US Special Forces Group since 2000. MOV personnel use U.S. doctrine and speak English.

Piracy and Protection

International piracy is on the rise, but it doesn’t have to be that way.  Unprotected vessels are easy prey. Unchallenged boarding only encourages more pirates to take to the seas.  Why take unnecessary risks? The Master should have every resource available to protect his crew and ship.  Are you limiting your Master’s ability, jeopardizing the safety of his crew and valuable cargo?  Protect your crew and vessel by putting a professional, MOV security team on board.

Highly Skilled Professionals

Our security personnel are the best in the maritime security industry.  In addition to being honorably retired, Special Forces or Navy Seals from the Philippines’ Special Operations Command with a minimum of 20 years of experience, Men of Valor (MOV) security professionals are also trained as commercial seafarers.  Their training includes as a minimum such courses as: Basic Safety Training Course; Desk Watch-Keeping; and Ship Security Officer Course.  As military professionals, they also understand and will strictly adhere to the onboard chain-of-command as established by the Master.  When called upon by the master, MOV operators know how to handle themselves and their weapons in a safe and professional manner.  MOV professionals are also trained to detect and deter sabotage, subversion, or terrorism pertaining to naval vessels, ports and facilities.  Our operators are fully trained in all aspects of maritime security.

Teams and Pricing

MOV offers a variety of maritime security options, and will diligently work with clients to offer the Team (size and composition) that best serves your needs and budget.  I challenge you to compare our services and pricing with the rest of the maritime security industry.  A few examples of what we offer are:

1.  An all Filipino Team led by a retired, senior officer or sergeant major.

2.  An American led Filipino Team, led by a retired, American Special Forces officer or senior sergeant.

3.  For other security companies we provide individuals or teams as seafaring “Overseas Filipino Workers” (OFWs).

Why MOV and Filipinos

Filipinos provide more seafarers to the international shipping industry than any other country and there’s a reason for that.  They are hard-working, dedicated, and skilled professionals who easily adapt to any environment and respond to any challenge.  Their reputation is well known within the maritime community and they are in high demand.  MOV security personnel represent the very best of these attributes and more.
